Tomasa is a self taught archivist and Chicano Park Steering Committee “Chair Por Vida.” Tomasa hosts her collection at the CPMCC so that it remains in the hands of the people. The collection relates to Chicano Park and the Chicano Movement, including: Chicano Park Day Posters, Audio tapes from numerous community meetings, Binders capturing the history of community struggles such as the fight for Bay Access, Community Newspapers, Video tapes of Chicano Park Day, Blueprints to numerous projects, and more. Through this partnership we seek to digitize and restore this collection to help preserve this history for the next generation of Chicanos and Chicanas!
